Effective Date: 10 February 2026 Last Updated: 10 February 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the DiscoverWorthy platform ("Service"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. General Principles
You agree to use the Service responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws. You must not use the Service in any way that could harm DiscoverWorthy, its users, or third parties.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not create, upload, store, or publish content through the Service that:
- Is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction where it is accessed
- Infringes intellectual property — content that copies or substantially reproduces copyrighted material, trademarks, or trade secrets without authorization
- Is defamatory — false statements of fact that damage the reputation of individuals or businesses
- Is hateful or discriminatory — content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Is sexually explicit — pornographic or sexually explicit material
- Promotes violence — content that incites, glorifies, or instructs violence or self-harm
- Is misleading or deceptive — content designed to mislead consumers, including fake reviews, false claims, or impersonation
- Is spam — bulk, unsolicited, or repetitive content designed to manipulate search rankings or deceive users
- Contains malware — content containing viruses, trojans, or other malicious code
- Violates privacy — content that exposes personal information of others without their consent
3. AI Content Responsibilities
3.1. Human Review Required. All AI-generated content (blog posts, social media posts, case studies, cover photos) must be reviewed by a human before publishing. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of published content.
3.2. No Professional Advice. Do not publish AI-generated content as professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise) without proper expert review and disclaimers.
3.3. Accuracy. AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated information, or "hallucinations." You must verify facts, statistics, quotes, and claims before publishing.
3.4. Attribution. If AI-generated content references third parties, products, or services, ensure the references are accurate and not misleading.
3.5. Content Blocklist. The "Never Mention" feature prevents AI from naming specific competitors in generated content. You must not attempt to circumvent this feature or use it for purposes other than legitimate competitive content management.
4. Web Crawler Usage
4.1. You may only use the web crawler feature to crawl websites that you own or have explicit authorization to crawl.
4.2. You must not use the crawler to scrape, copy, or harvest content from third-party websites.
4.3. You must respect robots.txt directives and rate limiting.
5. Customer Stories and Case Studies
5.1. You must obtain proper consent before inviting customers to provide stories or testimonials. Our system provides a consent mechanism, but you are responsible for ensuring your use of customer data complies with applicable laws.
5.2. Published case studies at /case-study/[siteId]/[slug] are publicly accessible. Ensure you have appropriate permission before publishing case studies containing customer data.
5.3. You must not misrepresent customer testimonials, fabricate reviews, or attribute statements to individuals who did not make them.
6. Review Requests
6.1. You must not send excessive, harassing, or misleading review requests to your customers.
6.2. Review request emails sent through the Platform must accurately represent your business.
7. Account Usage
7.1. One User Per Account. Each Account is for a single individual. You must not share login credentials or allow others to access your Account.
7.2. Organizational Access. Team members should be invited through the Platform's team management features, not by sharing a single account.
7.3. Automated Access. You must not use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access the Service unless explicitly authorized by us in writing.
8. Platform Integrity
You must not:
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or organizations
- Exploit vulnerabilities in the Service (report them to security@discoverworthy.com instead)
- Overwhelm the Service with excessive requests (rate limits are enforced)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
- Circumvent any security, access control, or rate-limiting measures
9. Freelancer Marketplace
9.1. Freelancers must deliver services as agreed with their clients.
9.2. Freelancers must not misuse client data or access client organizations for unauthorized purposes.
9.3. Client-freelancer disputes should be resolved directly between the parties. DiscoverWorthy is not liable for disputes between freelancers and their clients.
10. Enforcement
10.1. We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and take any action we deem appropriate, including:
- Issuing a warning
- Removing or disabling access to prohibited content
- Temporarily suspending your Account
- Permanently terminating your Account (banned_at status)
- Reporting violations to law enforcement
10.2. We may act with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
10.3. You may appeal enforcement actions by contacting support@discoverworthy.com within 30 days.
11. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of content or behavior that violates this AUP, please report it to us at support@discoverworthy.com. Include as much detail as possible, including URLs and screenshots where applicable.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or via email at least 14 days before taking effect.
